Sheepskin Care Guide

Sheepskin rugs are available in various sizes and colours bringing style to a home. Our sheepskin is of premium quality being carefully processed to preserve their natural quality, bringing outdoor natural beauty to your home.

Strong direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent UV to the natural fibres and dye colours. Please note colour transfer may occur. Storage in damp or wet conditions should be avoided to prevent damage to the leather pelt. Regular brushing will help maintain and bring out best in wool fibres.

Small stains and light soiling can be spot cleaned with a clean damp cloth and light wool detergent. For more thorough cleaning, dry cleaning is recommended for best results. Hand or machine wash in cool water (35°C) using wool approved detergent and gentle wool cycle.

Please note, machine or hand washing may affect the appearance of the natural wool fibres and the leather pelt. Products with cotton or other backing material are generally not suitable for machine or hand washing and dry cleaning is recommended for these. After washing, the natural wool may revert back to its curly state, but brushing with either a wire wool comb or brush while wet and after drying will help restore the fluffy appearance and lift fibres.
